More superior than any marine grade timber, the individual layers in our plywood product are treated and protected prior to assembly ensuring no further treatment is needed, and we fully encapsulate it with polyester resin. It also acts as an ideal mounting area for components such as electronics. The combination of plywood and foam filling strengthens the build quality of our boats, reducing vibration, creating rigidity and comes as standard on all Seafarer Boats.

Seafarer is an icon of Australian boating. The brand has grown from strength to strength and has filled the Australian waterways with thousands of legendary fibreglass trailer boats since 1957.
With over 50 years in the marine industry, The Haines Group have created an enviable empire to become industry leaders in the boat building business. Founder John Haines Snr AM came from a background of family boat builders and fishermen and used the lessons he learned in his early years to build the company with his wife Alida and sons, John Jnr and Greg. Still a family owned and run business with John Jnr at the helm, John’s influence continues to be felt every day at the Haines Group’s factory and offices since his passing in 2009.
Seafarer’s famous models have remained strong in Australian boater’s hearts since being founded by Doug Fry in 1957. The Haines Group acquired the Seafarer brand in 2007 from Lindsay Fry (Doug’s son), ensuring the company remains in the hands of an Australian family-owned manufacturer to continue the Seafarer legacy. Every boat in the Seafarer range is 100% Australian made and owned.
